John Terry slays fan who tells a joke about his ‘wife’ after Chelsea legend joins Twitter

John Terry, Chelsea legend and a Twitter user, finally joined Twitter Saturday night. One fan was brutally shut down by Terry.

Terry, who won five Premier League titles at Stamford Bridge in his career, announced via Instagram that he signed up for Twitter this weekend.

The ex-defender for England received a warm reception on the social-media platform. Blues fans lavished him with praise.

England cricketing icon Kevin Pietersen, good friends with JT, also tweeted: “A warm welcome to a captain who would have laughed his head off at how poor Man Utd are! Welcoming to Twitter @john2606terry!

Terry was mocked, however, by one user.

Pietersen replied to David, the fan: “Better make sure [the] wife doesn’t follow him”.

Terry then responded with a vicious response, which quickly went viral online. “Your safe David, just seen yours on your account”Then follow with laughing and pig emoticons.

David shook his head and admitted that the 40-year old had ruined him with the comeback. But Terry won the last word and wrote: “She can’t be that bad she doesn’t even make it on your Twitter account”.

The tweet’s initial message was about Terry’s famous bust-up in 2010 with Wayne Bridge, when he was accused by his ex-teammate of having an affair (with Vanessa Perroncel).

The tweet’s initial message was a reference Terry’s famous bust-up back in 2010.

Perroncel vigorously denied it, but he was eventually stripped of the England captaincy.

Terry and Bridge met again when Chelsea faced Manchester City at Stamford Bridge just a few weeks later. This was one of the most memorable moments in Premier League history.

Bridge mocked his old friend in front of the 40,000 spectators and the millions of people watching from around the world as the teams performed the pre-match handshakes.

Terry doesn’t hesitate to confront his critics on Twitter, and has issued a series of hilarious ripostes ever since joining the platform.

One Manchester United fan posted a photo showing an ex-Chelsea centre back crying after losing in the 2008 Champions League final. He was replied to by: “That’s the Man Utd fans after [losing against Manchester City] today and realising your 5 years away from catching Chelsea”.
