Jose Mourinho slammed the referee with an angry rant following Roma being denied “two clear penalties”During Thursday’s disappointing draw against Bodo/Glimt of Norway.
Mourinho is feeling pressure at Roma, after a 2-2 draw in Stadio Olimpico left them with just one win from six matches in all competitions.
Roma were defeated 6-1 in the reverse fixture in Norway two weeks ago. They did not fare well in the Europa Conference League.
The hosts were twice behind, and Roger Ibanez’s goals saved a point.
Bodo/Glimt remains top of Group C, one point ahead Roma, whose 2-1 defeat against AC Milan on Sunday took them 12 points from the summit of Serie A.
Mourinho wasn’t happy after the whistle blew, and took aim at both officials and players.
“I think the result is harsh on us,”He told Sky Sport Italia.
“It wasn’t a great performance, we made a lot of technical errors, especially in the first half when playing out from the back.
“Every time it went to [Jordan] Veretout or [Ebrima]Darboe: We lost the ball.
“The reality of the game is 2-2, but the two penalties were clear as day. Clear as day.
“You can talk about whatever you want, but the reality is 2-2, they had two shots on target and two goals. We scored two goals and received two clear penalties.

“I don’t know if they get referees who are poor and starting their careers for the Conference League.
“I didn’t say anything about the referee in Norway, because we lost 6-1, but here the two penalties were clear.”
Europe’s third-tier competition does not use VAR – and Mourinho’s frustrations went even further in an awkward interview on BT Sport.
The reporter asked Mourinho to explain the game.
“Look, the referee has to explain, but they don’t speak,”Mourinho spoke.
He was then questioned about the errors of the referee.
“Come on, you know it, no?”He replied, before insisting. “No, tell me. Tell me what you saw.”

The reporter stated that he couldn’t get a clear picture of the incidents from the stands.
“Not even on the screen? You didn’t watch it after the game?”
The interviewer asked him if he believed the referee had taken the game from Roma.
“Of course,” was Mourinho’s dead-pan reply.
His assessment of Bodo/Glimt
“They are a good team. They have good players. They have two shots, they score two goals. The result was 2-2. We had two penalties. We have four or five more chances to score. That’s the game.”
