The legal battle between Kailyn Lowry & Briana DeJesus has come to an end. Us Weekly It was reported that Lowry’s lawsuit for defamation against DeJesus had been dropped. The however, Teen Mom 2Stars’ drama is not over.
After the announcement, both Lowry and DeJesus made statements. DeJesus said Celebuzz simply, “I won.”On social media, she acknowledged her legal victory and posted photos of a clown costume, mirror and other items, which she would then send to Lowry. The Teen Mom: Family ReunionThe image was accompanied by star written beside it “Alexa play ‘b*tch better have my money’!”Lowry also posted a longer statement on her Instagram account in which she pointed out that the ruling was not final. “unfortunate,”She will, however, be focusing on her family at this time.
“While today’s ruling is unfortunate, I have to respect the judge’s decision,”Lowry stated. “With that being said, I stand by my truth and the information spread about me is still not true,”She wrote. “I would like to thank my legal team for fighting for me, and I am looking forward to life after this lawsuit so I can focus my energy solely on my boys and my future business endeavors.”
All of the drama began in June 2021. Lowry filed suit against DeJesus claiming that her costar falsely stated that the latter was the culprit. Coffee ConvosPodcast host Lowry assaulted Chris Lopex, and then broke into Lopex’s home. Lowry was initially charged with assaulting Lopez but the charges were dropped. She also denied being charged with breaking into and entering. According to the court’s ruling they said that DeJesus comments regarding the incident were “substantially true.”
“Soto’s statement about ‘breaking and entering’ does not change the gist of the statement that Lowry had been arrested,”The judge said. “It was widely publicized that Lowry had been arrested for domestic violence and Soto’s comments on the issue were substantially true. The damage to Lowry’s reputation, if any, had already occurred when the incident was publicized by news media.”It was acknowledged that there were “insufficient evidence”DeJesus knew DeJesus was lying. DeJesus made it clear that she knew her statements were false, even though the matter was finally resolved.
