Kate Middleton requested that her friends call her another name after she became serious with William.


According to a source close, Kate Middleton requested that her friends call her “Catherine” when her relationship began to get serious.

According to reports, the name change was insisted upon by her in 2008 when she believed that the royal heir would soon propose to her.

The Duchess of Cambridge sent an email to her friends, letting them know about the change.
