Los Angeles woman is currently in recovery after being held hostage for several hours last month in high-rise apartments. The suspected gunman was captured in a window with a gun to her head, in a viral video taken from across the street.
Police claim that earlier in the day the gunman had opened fire on a family, grazing the head of a fourteen-year-old boy and attempted to kidnap another woman. The suspect was seen running towards a downtown apartment where hostage drama took place on the fourth floor. Surveillance footage showed the suspect running into the apartment complex with police following closely.
Although the drama occurred six weeks ago, Hailey Bridge was identified as the brave hostage. She said she tried de-escalation by asking the gunman to pray with her.
Bridge was held captive four hours before a SWAT team arrived. The SWAT team stormed into the room and threw a Flash-Bang Grenade into it. Bodycam video of this incident shows.
Cops shot the gunman and hit the target with a hail of gunfire. Although the woman was safe, Neptune, her cat, was likely to be hurt.
Nepute was able to flee after SWAT officers forced his way in. He has now found his way home thanks to SWAT officers.
A GoFundMeBridge has a new account to support her through her trauma.
