One street in a charming village has been overrun with rat infestations, much to the horror and dismay of residents.

Residents of Scartho, Scartho, near Grimsby claim that vermin have invaded their homes at Glebe Road. “completely ruining our lives”As the number of sightings rises.

Bradley Paterson, who has been living in the area for 3 years, said: “I absolutely adored living here at first.

“It is peaceful and tranquil. Then, all of a sudden, about one year ago, I started to see rats in my backyard.

“This is really strange because this area is really clean and tidy.

“We called pest control to resolve the issue.

Bradley was shocked to learn that the problems were not resolved.

He continued: “It was only about a month or two after this we saw more. It was unbelievable.

“They are destroying our lives and I was shocked to see them more often in the garden.

“It’s just a shame because the area is so lovely and I’m now thinking of trying to move again because I can’t live in fear of rats.”

Leigton, who lives on Glebe Road together with her husband, said that: “We haven’t been affected yet but I have spotted them on our street.

“It is very alarming to be honest. Rats can cause a lot of trouble as they chew and leave a mess.

“They breed so wildly so of course it’s a big worry when thinking of ways to get rid of them.

“If this is left unattended, it will become a major problem that impacts everyone.

“People have said they don’t like living here anymore because of the rats.”

Tommy Oppington, also a resident of Glebe Road, stated that he hates rats.

“They are just disgusting creatures. You see them scurrying from house to house around here, and it’s just becoming too much for me. I’m not sure about anyone else.

“Rat droppings and gnawing marks were visible on my garden furniture that I had to have replaced. It’s absolutely horrible

“I’m just thankful they aren’t inside anyone’s homes yet or that would be an even bigger problem.

“I’m getting old and can’t keep the rats away from my garden. Can someone help?”
