The former Towie star saw her romance with builder and semi-professional footballer Charles Drury come to an abrupt end this week – just four months after they welcomed a daughter
Lauren Goodger thanked her fans for their positive messages after she shared that her relationship with Charles Drury ended weeks after the birth of their child.
The 35-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex star and 24-year-old footballer Charles became first time parents in July – welcoming their daughter, Larose, together.
But just four months later, the relationship came to an end – with the romance collapsing while Larose was in hospital battling a severe illness.
Lauren has now taken to Instagram to express her gratitude to fans who have sent her messages of kindness – and vowed to always be there for her daughter.
Lauren shared a photo of her and her baby girl. “Just wanted to say thank you for the 1000s of dms they are beautiful and I’m so greatful for your support on these hard times with a lot going on.”
She wrote, “She had: “spent 3 days in hospital with my little princess.
“Mummy always has been and always will be by your side everyday!! We home now and she is so much better
I love you more than anything in the world ! Not long until your first Christmas this is me and you now my angel.. love you.”
She also added three hashtags: “#myeverything #4monthsold #mypriority.”
Charles broke the news of the split on Friday, writing via his own social media channels: “”Only going to post this once, me & Lauren have decided to go our separate ways.
“We must keep things civil for our daughter Lauren, Lauren is a great mother so when it comes Larose, we both have her best interests at heart so she will continue to see us both.”
The split was revealed not long after Lauren confessed her relationship with Charles had become strained since the arrival of their daughter.
She was asked by a fan during an Instagram Q&A: “What has changed in your relationship since having a child?”
Lauren replied: “Yes, we became a couple so it’s no longer just about us. It’s all about her.
Meanwhile, Lauren also shared details of Larose’s health battle.
She wrote online: “She caught some sort of virus or infection … It has been the most difficult two days of my entire life. @charlesdrury1 and I have been there, swapping places to be with her.
“So hard to watch your daughter be in hospital with tubes, drips, canula, especially being held down. It has broken my heart.”
Lauren had always dreamed of marrying Charles.
Closer received this information from a source back in January. “Lauren’s always wanted traditional, big white wedding in a huge church and she’s already been looking at venues and dresses online as she plans the fairytale wedding she’s been dreaming of since she was a little girl.
“They have both discussed it together and decided that after last year they don’t want to waste anymore time.
