Leslie Grace, the star in Warner Bros.’ now-cancelled series Batgirl Following the studio’s decision to not release the film on any platform, the movie has spoken out. Only a few days after multiple outlets confirmed that DC Comics’ film, which was directed and produced by Bad Boys For Life Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, the team, were unable to make the film. Grace posted about the sudden cancellation on social media and expressed her pride in the movie and all those who helped it.
Grace, who rose to fame after her role in In the Heights was a huge success, posted the disappointing news on Instagram. “Querida familia,”She started the post by adding, “on the heels of the recent news about our movie ‘Batgirl,’ I am proud of the love, hard work and intention all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland.” Batgirl Grace said that this would have been Grace’s most important acting role. It also marked Grace’s first Latina-led superhero movie. Grace expressed her feelings “blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process.”She concluded her post by writing a message to fans. “to every Batgirl fan – THANK YOU for the love and belief, allowing me to take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, ‘my own damn hero!’ Batgirl for life!”
