Liverpool has been dealt a blow before the Champions League final against Real Madrid May 28.
After securing their place in Paris’ final with victory over Villarreal, a LaLiga side, the Reds will face the Spanish giants in Paris. But there is one seriously bad omen for Jurgen Klopp’s side – after UEFA have Clement Turpin as the referee for the tie.

Update on the Fabinho injury
Fabinho, Liverpool’s midfielder, appears to be in a race against the clock to be available for the Champions League final against Real Madrid at end of the month.
After suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury in Tuesday’s 2-1 win against Aston Villa, the 28-year old was forced to leave. Fabio Mahseredjian, the national team’s fitness coach, has updated his status after being called up to Brazil’s fixtures against South Korea and Japan next month.
He also said that the Brazil national team were “optimistic”Fabinho will perform in Paris.

Champions League final omen
Liverpool are in bad shape ahead of the Champions League final, after UEFA announced Clement Turpin as the referee.
The Frenchman has refereed four Real Madrid games in his time – with Los Blancos running out the winners on every occasion. This may seem like a bad sign for the Reds. However, it is not all doom. Turpin has also taken charge of Liverpool twice before – a 1-1 draw against Spartak Moscow and a 2-0 win against RB Leipzig.
