Liverpool make loan decision

Rhys Williams was recalled from his loan spell in Swansea City.

The Reds’ 20-year old did a great job last season in tough circumstances, stepping up when Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk were out with long-term injuries.

Williams will be next to summer signing Ibrahima Konate and Williams in the pecking orders, but the Reds’ decision to bring him back would suggest that they are ready to sell Nat Phillips.

Phillips has only made three appearances in all competitions this season for Liverpool and it is reported that the Reds have turned down two offers for Phillips, one from Watford.

Reds linked to Carvalho

Liverpool are said to be monitoring Fabio Carvalho, Fulham’s starlet.

The young midfielder caught everyone’s attention since he was called up to the Craven Cottage first team. He is now an important part of Marco Silva’s Championship-scoring leaders.

From 16 matches in the second division this season, the 19 year-old scored seven goals as well as two assists. He was often playing in support for Aleksandar Mitchellovic, a central striker.

Carvalho’s contract expires at the end next season. If he continues to perform well, he will likely have many suitors.
