Love Island 2022 viewers voted on which boys or girls they would like to partner up with, and the results are now available on ITV2.
Love Island 2022 is home to its first couples, as shown in the launch episode of ITV2 Monday night.
Tasha, Amber, Gemma, Paige and Indiyah were joined by Laura Whitmore, host of the villa. They were expecting to see the boys walk out one at a time.
Laura soon revealed that this year’s Love Island premiere would be very different. The girls would not have a say.
Instead, viewers were able to vote to choose the girl and boy they wanted to marry.
Twitter had confirmed that the show’s shake-up was happening before launch. The public was informed to make their decision within days.
Their official Twitter account contained the following: “For the first time ever, you get to have your say on who couples up on Day 1! Head to the app to play matchmaker and pick which boy you think should couple up with each girl. The polls will close at 9am Saturday.”
The results of that vote have been revealed, with the first five pairs of the 2022 series being revealed. This is ahead of bombshell Davide taking one of the girls.
Who are the 2022 married couples?
Paige & Luca
Paige Thorne (23), is a paramedic from Swansea in Wales.
The paramedic was paired up with Luca Bish, a 23-year-old fishmonger based in Brighton.
When was Luca born? “worth the wait”, Paige said: “We will soon see,”Luca was not shown sharing his thoughts about the pairing.
Indiyah and Ikenna
Indiyah Polack is 23 years old and a waitress in a London hotel.
The Islander has been paired with Ikenna, 23, from Nigeria. He is a Nottingham-based pharmaceutical sales specialist.
Ikenna smiled big and said that he believed the public understood the situation. Indiyah, however, said that he smelled good. She didn’t share her thoughts about the pairing.
Andrew and Tasha
Tasha Ghouri is 23 years old and a model and dancer hailing from Thirsk, Yorkshire. She says she has a cochlear implant that is her “her” device. “superpower”.
She was paired with “rarely single”Andrew Le Page (27 years old) is a Guernsey-based real estate agent.
Tasha claimed that she was “very happy”He called him “a”. “bit of me”Andrew was also delighted with the decision.
Amber and Dami
Amber Beckford (24 years old) is a London nanny.
Dami Hope, an Irish hunk, has been chosen to be the nanny. He is a senior Irish microbiologist.
When the pair discovered they were being paired together, Dami stated he was happy about the decision. Amber however said that they would have to wait and see how things pan out.
Gemma & Liam
Gemma Owen is 19 years old and lives in Chester, North England. She is an international dressage rider and a business owner.
Her father is Michael Owen, an ex-footballer from England.
Gemma was paired with Liam Llewellyn (22), from Newport, South Wales. Liam is studying Strength & Conditioning at university and is ready to find love.
Liam claimed he was a “happy man”Gemma said it: “Yeah he’s cute, he’s fit.”
