Meghan Markle recalls the terrifying moment Son Archie’s Nursery was set ablaze


Meghan Markle is going through one of her most terrifying moments. On the premiere episode, Serena Williams was invited to be guest of honor by Meghan Markle. Archetypes podcastPrince Harry and she were both captivated when they discovered the nursery where their infant son Archie was being raised.

The couple, who had just arrived in South Africa on their 2019 tour together with Archie, had to drop their son off at the housing unit where he was staying to take a nap. “We immediately went to an official engagement in this township called Nyanga, and there was this moment where I’m standing on a tree stump and I’m giving this speech to women and girls, and we finish the engagement,” Markle recalled. “We get in the car, and they say there’s been a fire at the residence. What? There’s been a fire in the baby’s room.”

Markle, who also has a 14-month old daughter Lilibet with Prince Harry, said that they ran back to their housing unit to find that their nanny had taken Archie along to get a snack in the kitchen.”In that amount of time that she went downstairs, the heater in the nursery caught on fire,” Markle revealed. “There was no smoke detector. Someone happened to just smell smoke down the hallway went in, fire extinguished. He was supposed to be sleeping in there.”

The family was able to overcome the trauma and continue with their public obligations.
