The actress will be the star of David E. KelleyABC’s next drama Avalon, E! News has confirmed.
Based on a brief story by Michael ConnellyThe series is set in Avalon, California on Catalina Island. Campbell will play Detective Nicole “Nic”Searcy is the only detective stationed at this tourist hotspot.
“Somewhat inscrutable, Nic isn’t easily intimidated and holds firm to her morals,”According to the network. “Ironically, her strong moral compass is what got her banished to Catalina’s biggest city, Avalon. It’s a gig no career-driven L.A. cop wants, but Nic soon discovers her valuable detective skills are needed more on Avalon than she could have imagined.”
AvalonThis is a reunion of Campbell and Kelley, after Kelley starred as Campbell in the first season of Netflix’s. The Lincoln Lawyer Kelley developed the idea for this project earlier in the year. The Brass Verdict, also written by Connelly. Campbell will be back for season 2.
Kelley is also the TV genius behind shows like Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers, Ally McBeal The Practice.
