New York Man Killed In Freak Accident at Town Trash Transfer Station

On Monday, a 47 year-old man died from being trapped between a loading box and a trash compactor at a town trash transfer station in the Adirondacks. According toSyracuse local news.

According to the outlet, state police arrived at Long Lake Transfer Station early in the morning on Aug. 9. This station handles the collection and disposal waste materials. 

An investigation into the man’s death revealed that a container rolled into the trash compactor due to a cable snapping, according to Syracuse local news.

According to the outlet, the man was standing near the incident and was pinched between them, killing him.
