The alleged hacker posted tweets and headlines that were more salacious than what is normally featured in the Post before they were deleted. Some headlines referenced sexual assault, violence against migrants and racist stereotypes. There was also assassination of President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.
Around 9:45 a.m., the hack took place. ET. Kathy Hochul, the incumbent Democrat governor in New York, issued a statement urging Post to investigate. “immediately explain how this reprehensible content was made public.” “While the Post has made its preferences clear in the Governor’s race, there is no room for violent, sexist rhetoric in our politics. We demand answers,”Hochul’s spokesperson claimed. “The New York Post has long fostered an ugly, toxic conversation on their front pages and social accounts, but these posts are more disgusting and vile than usual.”

The Response on social mediaThere was some shock at the beginning, but it was far from the political theatre that treated the headlines like real news or an affront against journalistic standards.
