The Telegraph claims that, although every position is being assessed, the Telegraph states that defensive midfield and centreback are the most urgent targets.

If they find the right target, the Magpies will make every effort to move it.

Newcastle is looking to splash the cash for January

Since the October takeover, Newcastle have been in contact with many people.

Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard, Chelsea’s Ross Barkley, Liverpool’s Nat Phillips, Burnley’s James Tarkowski, Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier, and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Winks have all been linked with moves.

Tarkowski has been linked to a move but Sean Dyche, Northern Echo reports, isn’t keen on selling his star defender.

Tarkowski’s deal in the summer could force Burnley to sign.
