3 Para members filmed themselves having sex at the Merville Barracks, Colchester. General Sir Patrick Sanders, Chief General of the General staff, said that they would not be joining a NATO operation.

After soldiers recorded an orgy, a Paras battalion was banned from serving overseas this summer.

General Sir Patrick Sanders, Chief of the General Staff, today decided that 3 Para would not join any NATO operation in Kosovo this year.

All Parachute Regiment members received a letter informing them of the decision. “based on recent disciplinary incidents”. It read: “3 PARA accept they have temporarily lost the trust of CGS.”

Royal Military Police launched an investigation to determine how the woman entered the barracks. It found that there were no laws broken.

Mirror: “This means other troops will be sent at short notice to Kosovo. Everybody knows the Army is undermanned.

“This happening when there is a war in Europe is outrageous.”

An Army spokesperson said: “All forms of unacceptable behaviour, including those of a sexual nature, have no place in an inclusive and respectful Armed Forces.”
