I’m A Celeb: Frankie Bridge takes on The Grim Grinder Trial

Frankie Bridge may be left with her stomach spinning for more reasons than one thanks to the latest dastardly I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! trial.

The 32-year-old former The Saturdays singer is sent spinning around in a perspex box which is sure to leave her feeling a little nauseous in scenes set to air tonight.

But the vom factor is increased further by the fact that the star is doused with the liquidised remnant of rotten fruits and vegetables on the ITV reality show.

The unappealing challenge is titled The Grim Grinder and Frankie is tasked with taking part in the gross task after receiving votes from viewers.

A sneak preview of Tuesday night’s episode shows Frankie spinning around while being covered in the stinky, rotting foods.

Show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are on hand to gleefully oversee the challenge – as well as firing questions at the star.

A one minute countdown is added to the challenge while Frankie is tasked with spelling out words.

The preview clip shows her being asked to spell the word “dauphinoise” – as in dauphinoise potatoes.

But the tricky-to-spell French word leaves the singer battling to correctly call out the correct order of letters – all the while she is spinning around with the rotten food sloshing around her face and mouth while she speaks.

Before she ever entered the I’m A Celeb castle, Frankie explained that she hates certain foods – including ketchup and other condiments.

She said: “I am scared of everything; snakes, spiders, things being in my ears, being trapped in things, being on water, heights, eating weird things.

“I’m the girl who can’t even eat ketchup. What was I thinking?”

She continued: “But I like to push myself. I like to prove myself wrong and my fears and anxiety wrong and feel the fear and do it anyway. So that’s I’m hoping to do. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Frankie previously explained her hatred for sauces that accompany food during an episode of Loose Women.

She explained on the show that she is scared of ketchup saying she hates it because she thinks it’s “disgusting” and she hates the word “condiment” and hates all condiments.

While Loose Women co-star Jane Moore previously joked: She will be praying for condiments by the end of it” – as I’m A Celeb famously feeds contestants unappealing items such as animal genitals.

Monday night’s episode of the long-running ITV reality show saw Paralympic hero Kadeena Cox become the second star to be voted off the series.

Some viewers called the result a “fix” as they believed Naughty Boy should have been the person to be eliminated from the series.

Dame Arlene Phillips had been the first star to get eliminated in scenes that aired on Sunday night.

The 78-year-old had gushed ahead of her elimination: “I’d really like it to be me. I have had the most extraordinary time, but I’m ready to go home and I’m not sure everyone else is quite.”

A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV tonight at 9pm.
