Prime Video released the teaser video for the TV version of A League of Their Own on June 7. The action-packed preview shows Carson (Abbi Jacobson) and Max (Chanté Adams) as they fight to earn their spot on the baseball team. This teaser shows the friendship that is growing between the teammates.
Prime Video also confirmed that all eight episodes will air on August 12.
The TV adaptation of the movie’s beloved film comes thirty years after it was first shown in theaters on July 22, 1992. Geena, Tom Hanks, Madonna, Rosie O’Donnell Starring in the film were more than a dozen actors. The film was directed and produced by Penny Marshall.Â
But don’t expect the show to be the same as its predecessor. Prime Video promises the next iteration “takes a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a whole new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the league and outside of it.”
