Prince Harry’s Memoir gets a Name and Release Date


Prince Harry’s “bombshell”A name and release date have been given to the forthcoming memoir.

“Spare” goes on sale Jan. 10. It’s 416 pages, costs $36 and will be published in 16 languages.

The expression that inspired the title is “heir and a spare.”Harry was born as the spare to Prince William who was the heir of the British throne.

The book will be published by Penguin Random House, which describes the memoir as, “Raw, unflinching honesty and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.”

Publication was initially scheduled for next week but was delayed by Queen Elizabeth’s death.

Prince Harry was paid a $20 million advance for the book, which was described by one royal insider as a “time bomb.” There is speculation that Prince Harry may have spent some time after the Queen’s funeral to reduce sections that were critical of King Charles.

According to reports, King Charles hoped that the book would be completely withdrawn or postponed until after he coronates next May.
