Thirteen was a lucky number for at most one Reagan family member. Blue Bloods Season 13 premiere. “Keeping the Faith”It featured big guest stars, a shoot, and multiple stories rolled into one hour. Although it was bumpy, all members of the Reagan family survived, even the one shot.
The central story involved Jamie (Will Estes), Eddie(Vanessa Ray), Danny [Donnie Wahlberg] and Joe (Will Hochman), while Erin (Bridget Moynihan] played a key role. The episode began when Eddie (Ian Quinlan), and Badillo (Ian Quinlan), stopped a domestic violence incident as they were walking along the beat. Jamie saw Badillo driving by, and she helped Badillo to arrest Andre Castillo. (Dario Vasquez), who happened to have a gun.
The suspect was seen on the street again that night, and was using his wife in public. Castillo fired a series of shots when he saw Eddie and Badillo approaching. Jamie arrived at Erin’s office the next day demanding information about Castillo’s release. Jamie was animated and frustrated, reminding Erin even of Danny.
Danny called Eddie later because Castillo was his top suspect in a homicide case he was investigating. Castillo was working at the Queensboro Basin when they met. Danny and Joe arrived ahead of Jamie to find Castillo attempting to assault his wife yet again on a boat. Castillo fired on Jamie when he saw the three officers. As the bullets penetrated his vest, there was blood all over. Castillo escaped and Jamie was taken to the hospital.
Jamie’s surgery was successful, even though it was not easy at first. Except for Frank (Tom Selleck), almost everyone went to hospital. “undercover”To find out how the public views police, we spoke with Archbishop Kearns (Stacy Keach). Danny wanted Erin to not feel guilty for Jamie’s death. Later, Baez (Marisa RAMirez) provided some crucial clues that helped Danny and Joe locate Castillo. Danny had the task of stopping Joe from putting Castillo to his death. Because Jamie wanted it, they had to follow the book.
Jamie was allowed to leave the hospital the following day. Frank was there along with many police officers who had nothing else to do that day and they all saluted Jamie. Even though he had just been shot, he got up from his wheelchair and saluted everyone. It was a happy end to a stressful time for Reagans.
Also, this episode saw Eddie and Jamie almost break up at work. Their new captain asked them to work in different precincts. Which neither of them agreed with. Eddie demanded Jamie and Eddie be allowed to remain after Jamie was killed. She pointed out that the captain did not prohibit spouses from working at the same place. Eddie is expected to prevail, although it is possible that Jamie will take a different job. Blue BloodsCBS Fridays at 10:10 p.m. ET, and can be streamed on Paramount+.
