Real Madrid is reportedly trying to get rid Eden Hazard in a Gareth Bale-like deal.
Hazard has struggled to live up to the £135million fee Chelsea received for him since his move in 2019. Hazard has had a difficult time with injuries and form. He missed 68 games during his two-and-a-half seasons at the Nou Camp.
Real are still shelling out £240,000-per-week on his wages, despite his lack of playing time. According to Spanish outlets, this is the case. ASTo ease financial pressure on the club, they are offering to lend him.
In a similar deal, Tottenham brought back Welsh winger Bale in last season’s Tottenham transfer window. Real paid a substantial portion of Bale’s wages. Los Blancos hope to strike a similar deal with Hazard this summer’s transfer window.
The captain of Belgium, at 31 years old, has missed many Red Devils games due to injury. He will be looking to be back in shape for the World Cup in Qatar in January, which could be his last international tournament.

Real are also keen on bringing in Kylian Maappe this summer. He will offer more competition to Vinicius Jr. Rodrygo and Marco Asensio when it comes to attacking places. Hazard made 17 La Liga appearances this season, but only seven of them were starts.
If he can find some form and fitness, Real could still win the league title. Real’s recent victory over PSG saw them draw Hazard’s former club Chelsea in quarter-finals. Hazard’s contract is up at Bernabeu. Therefore, Hazard’s departure could depend on the availability of other backup options.
