Richard Madeley announces a break from Good Morning Britain

Richard Madeley will only be presenting Good Morning Britain two times a week, unless he wins I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

The former This Morning anchor recently landed a £300,000 deal to permanently present the show after “hitting it off”Susanna Reid, co-host.

A source told Silver Screen Beats: “He’ll first appear in hot-seat twice a weeks, but if he becomes a huge celebrity and is a fan favourite at the I’m A Celeb castle, or he’s crowned king expect that number to rise to three to four days.

Sources said that Richard once claimed he wouldn’t do GMB full time, but that he changed his mind after enjoying his time with the show.

However, GMB was informed by a source. MailOnlineRichard is not bound by a set date.

They stated: “He will continue as part of the guest presenting team and do a handful of days per month.”

The Mirror has reached out to Richard’s reps in order for them to comment.

Piers Morgan quit ITV’s Megan Markle scandal and Richard is now widely thought to be Piers Morgan’s replacement. Richard is widely believed by many to be Richard.

Richard’s rep denies the claims.

He has been a frequent guest presenter for GMB and has often joined Susanna (50) as well. But, in response to reports that he would be sitting permanently in the seat, his rep told the Mirror that Richard was still part the current set-up on GMB as a revolving presenter.

They stated: “Richard is part of a revolving family of presenters and no plans to change that.”They declined to comment on the contract’s permanent nature.”

Silver Screen Beat has claimed that ITV bosses do not want Richard to be billed as Piers’ “official” replacement.

“They don’t want any big fuss or major announcement so as not to heap too much pressure on either Richard or Piers,”Insiders say.

“Obviously Piers is utterly unique and no one could like-for-like fill his size 12 shoes. Officially they are still casting around for another potential full-time team member – hopefully another star name – so as to give the show a fresh new feel in 2022.”

Rumours are continuing to circulate about Richard’s appearance in I’m A Celeb. Richard said to GMB viewers that he has places to visit, people to see, and things to eat… interesting food to eat. He will be back shortly after Christmas. This will be my last show for quite some time.”

Susanna teased: “What is the Welsh way to say goodbye? “I don’t know, but you’ll be able to find out in the next few weeks.”

Good Morning Britain is broadcast weekdays at 6am on ITV.
