Rockstar seriously injured after being run over by Burglar


Corey Dill, a member from the indie-rock group Brother Moses is still recovering after he was hurt in a robbery in Texas. After being run over by the suspects in the robbery of the band’s touring vehicle, Dill was hospitalized for several weeks.

Dill and his bandmates were returning from a meal break to Deep Ellum Art Co. on Oct. 19, when Dill saw someone leave their car. James Lockhart, the band’s vocalist, said that the incident took place. ABC 8. Dill and his accomplices began to chase the suspect. Dill fell to the ground. Dill was able to escape the suspect’s getaway car. Lockhart said that Lockhart was correct. “we an tell via security footage that the back right tire of that truck went over Corey as it left.”

“I don’t really remember anything after that, like, if I grabbed him or tried to wrestle him out,”Dill told News Nation USA. “In my mind, he got to the passenger door as he’s scooting in and that’s kind of the end of what I remember until I’m laying on the ground a few moments later.”

Lockhart, shortly after the incident, stated that Dill sustained a fractured pelvis as well as a fractured clavicle. “internal damage in his pelvic area.. multiple facial fractures to his temporal bone, his nose, underneath his teeth and he crushed his sinus cavity.”He was then taken to Baylor Medical Center where he had multiple surgeries. Dill indicated that he had weeks of recovery ahead of his discharge. He will need additional surgeries, as well as rehabilitation before he can walk again.

Dill spoke highly of the support. “the support and all the love I received was incredible, especially the first few days when I didn’t have my phone and my wife would read things like comments and messages. I found that very encouraging and uplifting. It’s incredible to see how many people were backing me up.”

At the moment, the suspects are still at large. Surveillance cameras captured images from the suspects in the robbery, as well as the vehicle in which they fled in, a black GMC Sierra. Police are still investigating this incident.
