If he impresses new employers, it is possible that the German would be willing to extend his tenure in charge.

Rangnick’s contract is still being finalized.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the predecessor to him, was appointed United manager until December 2018. However, his position was made permanent four years later.

This decision was a mistake as the Norwegian did not win any trophy over his three-year tenure in the hot seat.

Martial on Barca’s radar

25-year old forward has scored only eight goals in all competitions from the start of 2020-21 campaign. He has also fallen down the Old Trafford pecking list.

United has an endless array of attacking options available to them, including Jadon Sáncho, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Marcus Rashford.

Phillips was instrumental in England reaching the final of Euro 2020 and has made 224 career appearances, including 39 in Premier League.

Phillips is concerned about what it might mean for his family if he leaves his hometown club to join bitter rivals.

This combative midfielder spent his entire career at Leeds, and would be a terrible cult hero if he joined United.
