One Russian diplomat was found dead on the pavement in front of Berlin’s embassy.
The body of the 35-year-old male was discovered early in October 19.
German media was told by sources that the man had fallen from the upper floor of the embassy.
Berlin police declined to comment. All questions were directed to public prosecutors who were not immediately accessible.
Reports of the discovery of a body beyond the Russian diplomatic mission have not been made before.
According to security sources, the cause of the death and how it happened were not known.
Der Spiegel stated that the Russian embassy refused to perform an autopsy.
The magazine stated that the man, who has not yet been identified, was officially listed in the embassy as second secretary.
A Russian-based senior officer in the FSB’s second direction, which deals with antiterrorism, was also his family member.
