Two men were killed by a man who claimed he was forced to do it by Satan.
Adam Rosenberg, Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania pleaded guilty to two counts each of first-degree murder in Christian Moore-Rouse’s and Jeremy Dentel’s deaths.
According to reports, the 23-year old had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and psychotic disorders and wanted to be a serial killer.
Moore-Rouse was 22 years of age and was reportedly a friend with the killer.
Prosecutors said that Rosenberg had shot Moore-Rouse in his back on December 21st, and then hid his body from the road at the end of his driveway. The body was discovered on March 3, 2020.
According to reports, he contacted Dentel via a dating app. He then shot and killed him on February 15, 2020.
In April, Dr Sara West, a forensic psychiatrist, told the court that the only reason Rosenberg did not become a serial killer was “because he got caught”.
She revealed some disturbing insight into what she believed may have driven Rosenberg to kill telling the court that he believed it was “what god expected him to do.”
She reportedly said that Rosenberg had urges to kill, and that the more he killed, the closer he felt to his god.
“He defined his god as Satan,”The court heard West speak. She claimed that he had been able to resist killing three more times but that he killed Dentel in an attempt to get back at her. “his god”For not having killed on previous occasions.
Moore-Rouse’s mother objected to the plea because it doesn’t call for the sentences to be served consecutively.
Bruce Beemer, Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge said that Rosenberg was guaranteed to spend his entire life in prison.
He was sentenced Friday, June 3rd, to two concurrent terms in prison for life without parole.
