Sex and the City reboot still has Kim Cattrall as a character amid hopes she will return


Kim Cattrall decided not to return to the hit franchise following a row with Sarah Jessica Parker. Despite Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davies reprising their roles in the reboot And Just Like That the 65-year old has declined to sign up.

Sex and the City: Official Teaser for And Just Like That

Kim Cattrall ‘s character Samantha Jones hasn’t been killed off in the upcoming Sex and the City reboot amid hopes she’ll return.

And Just Like That is set to hit TV screens in December, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis reprising their iconic roles for the new series which follows the trio’s lives in New York, more than 10 years after the last spin-off film was released.

Kim, who was 65 years old, was Samantha Jones’ PR guru in the HBO series. She also appeared in the SATC movies. But after a nasty fight with Sarah Jessica she decided not to return to the show.

Fans were in a frenzy trying to figure out how the reboot would be convincing without Samantha. Rumours suggested that Samantha was being killed.

The following is an extract from the Daily Mail, Kim’s character is instead living in London, and the door has been left open for her to return to the show when it begins filming a second season.
