Spirit Halloween Decor Recalled Due To Fire and Burn Hazards’


Although Halloween is still several months away, decorating plans are already being rearranged due to a recent recall. Halloween fans look forward to the spooky season. Some even jump on board. “Junoween” bandwagon, seasonal retailer recalled a popular décor item that was found to pose a fire and burn hazard and resulted in injury.

The retailer issued the recall on Thursday, June 9th. It affects Spirit Halloween’s 48 inch Black Lights. A noticeThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, (CPSC) shared the image. The product, an image of which can be seen here, was sold at Spirit Halloween stores nationwide and online at www.spirithalloween.com from August 2021 through November 2021 with a price of approximately $35. The black light is 48 inches in length and plugs into standard outlets. It also has an on/off switch on the power cord. Consumers can identify this recalled light by the date code. “2021/06,”This information is printed at the bottom of each unit. The packaging contains the Model number LT48P as well as SKU number 01536721.

Spirit Halloween recalls the product following seven complaints about the bulbs going out of control, flashing and setting themselves on fire. There was one report of a minor burn injury from those seven reports. Spirit Halloween received these reports and voluntarily recalled its product under the Fast Track Recall process at CPSC. “recalls are initiated by firms who commit to work with CPSC to quickly announce the recall and remedy to protect consumers.”

Black light fixtures pose a danger to consumers so they should be stopped immediately. Spirit Halloween should be contacted about this recall. Send a photograph of the date code to Spirit Halloween. The truth is that the “soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.”The film stars Donavan Colan as JaidenSmith, Dylan Frankel, Marissa Reyes and Dylan Frankel. It is scheduled for release in October 2022.
