Star Hoda Kotb of ‘Today” gives a health update as fans send their prayers


Hoda KochShe revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19. The TODAYHost is fully vaccinated, has had her booster shot and shares that she feels good at home. 

Kotb Is ‘Feeling Good’

Fans across the country have sent their good wishes and prayers for Kotb, but she appears to be doing well. She tweeted, “Thx for well wishes!  Feeling good.. cant wait to see you all when I am in the clear! Xo” She also shared her story.Her fellow TODAY Anchors she says that she is excited to get back to work. 

Kotb’s positive test comes along with news of rising COVID cases around the world. Every country is working to stop the spread of the highly contagious new variant, Omicron. Monday saw 1 million COVID cases in the USA, a record for any single day. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, omicron is responsible for 95% of all U.S.-based test samples that were examined in the last week. 

Outpouring Of Support

Fans from all over the nation responded to the invitation with words of encouragement, empathy, and shared their own stories about fighting Covid. One wrote: “I hope you feel better soon. I’m on my 5th day of isolation. Watching yesterday I noticed you struggling with talking and I knew you had Covid because that’s how I felt 5 days ago.”

Another claimed she was missing Kotb already Today, “We NEED your smiling face. It brightens what is a sorrowful state of affairs in our country. You help us to smile and forget all of our cares. God Bless you and your family!!!”

Meyers and Fallon also infected

Kotb isn’t the only TV show host who’s been infected. Seth Meyers, host of Late NightNBC has announced that he tested positive for COVID, and has canceled all of his shows for the remainder of the week.

Additionally, Tonight ShowJimmy Fallon, Jimmy Fallon’s host, said that he tested positive during the start of the show show’s holiday breakHowever, he has since made a full recovery. Both claimed that they had been vaccinated, and that they had received booster shots. Keep safe out there
