Texas Washing Machine Kills 7-year-old Boy

A young boy reported missing by his parents in Texas was found dead in the washing machine later that day on July 28, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Seven-year-old Troy Khoeler was reported missing at approximately 5:20 a.m. after his parents told investigators that they couldn’t find the boy at around 4 a.m., HCSO Lt. Robert Minchew said in a media briefing captured by KHOU 11.

KHOU 11 reports that Troy was found by police in the washing machine of his garage. Though investigators would not comment on whether there was water in the machine or if the machine’s lid was closed, they said he was fully clothed, the outlet reported.

“We don’t know what happened, but we intend to find out,”Minchew claimed, according to KHOU 11.

Minchew explains in the video how authorities were told the boy was a fosterchild and the family adopted the boy in 2019.

KHOU 11 reported Minchew that it was too early for them to say if the incident was an accident and didn’t comment on whether they were injured or signs of foul play.

“Whether he was killed by the washing machine or killed and placed in it, we’re just so far from that, I can’t comment,”Minchew stated, according to KHOU 11.

After interviewing the parents, the deputies went to the neighborhood but couldn’t find Troy. KHOU 11 reported that this was when they did a deeper inspection of the home.

KHOU 11 reported, “No one has been charged.”

In a TweetIt was posted by Mark Herman (Harris County Precinct 4) Constable. “a criminal investigation is underway please avoid the area. We ask for everyone’s prayers for the family.”

HSCO responded to Inside Edition Digital’s request for comment and stated that there were no new developments in the case.
