Liverpool are set to face off against city rivals Everton on Wednesday night in the Merseyside derby – and things are already getting spicy.

Star Reds midfielder Thiago alcantara, a Star Reds player, has given the ultimate derby putdown. However it seems that he did not intend to.

It is a move that comes just as Spain’s midfielder has been linked to a January transfer away from Anfield.

Thiago is reportedly the subject of new Barcelona manager Xavi’s interest with the player linked to a return to his first club.

These links are not surprising considering that the player has been in great form in recent weeks. He is also one of the four Reds players selected in the Premier League Team of the week following Liverpool’s impressive win over Southampton.
