UFC 270 will kick off 2022 in a major way. The event will be held at Anaheim’s Honda Center and will feature three exciting matchups as well as two championship bouts. UFC 270’s main card Starts at 10 p.m. ET It can be viewed on ESPN+, which is a pay-per-view service.
UFC 270’s main show will feature Francis Ngannou, the heavyweight champion, taking on Ciryl Gane, interim champion. This is Ngannou’s first fight since UFC 260, March 2021. He defeated Stipe Miocic in the fight to win the heavyweight title. Gane defeated Derrick Lewis at UFC 265 to become the interim champion. Gane was the interim champion at that time. It was a surprise that he was given the interim title.Ngannou is however confident that he will be undisputed champion once it’s over.
“I will not be searching for the knockout but I don’t see how we will end this fight without me knocking him out, maybe under two rounds. Because he’s not as tough as Stipe,”Ngannou said TMZLast week Per Sportskeeda. “I know the guy pretty good, you know. He can’t eat as much pressure as Stipe. So as soon as we get like to a close exchange, I don’t think there will be any chance to get out of there.”
Brandon Moreno, flyweight champion will defend his title in a match against Deiveson Figuerodo. Moreno was victorious over Figueiredo at UFC 263 in June. This will be their third meeting, after the first one ended in a draw.  “I have a fight, somebody’s trying to kill me, and I need to defend my title,” Moreno told MMA FightingThis week. That’s it. That’s the only difference — I’m defending something. But it’s exactly the same thing. I’m going into octagon alongside a man who is trying beat me and trying to steal food from my family.”
The rest of this card sees Michel Pereira take on Andre Fialho, in a welterweight bout. Cody Stamann will face Said Nurmagomedov, while Trevin Giles will fight Michael Morales in the welterweight match. At 6 p.m., ESPN2 will broadcast the preliminary card. ET.
