After trying to stop her beloved dog from being swept away to sea, a mother-of-two was tragically killed.
Christine Robinson (57), of Eastham Wirral, was killed in an automobile accident on the 6th of July 2020. River MerseyKing’s Parade, New Brighton reports the Liverpool Echo.
While walking her dog with her son Niall, she was about to get it into the water on a slipway.
The pet was then lost and the pair had to get into trouble.
Both Niall and the dog were rescued by the RNLI Coastguard, Merseyside police, and North West Ambulance Service in a massive operation.

Despite the heroic efforts of passers-by and emergency service personnel, Ms Robinson, a Boots pharmacy technician, was declared dead on the spot by paramedics.
On Wednesday, April 20, Richard Jones, Holyhead Coastguard operations manager, was asked by the Liverpool coroners about the three-minute delay between an emergency call being received and the dispatch of a rescue team to the scene.
Joseph Hart, assistant coroner in Liverpool and Wirral, said: “Three minutes is a long time.”
The court heard that Jones had assigned the New Brighton inshore boat to the incident. The crew had already launched and were heading to the scene before the coastguard alerted them.
