Arteta gives an update on Pepe’s future

In recent weeks, Arsenal’s record signing Nicolas Pepe has been linked to a move away from club.

Since signing from Lille in summer 2019, the winger has struggled to find consistency. He is not in Mikel Arteta’s top XI at the moment. Emile Smith Rowe shines in the wing positions.

Arteta was asked his opinion on the possibility of an international departure from the Ivory Coast and he suggested that he could play a role in this season.

The Swiss international made his mark with the Bundesliga outfit. He was rated one of Europe’s rising midfield stars after he left for Arsenal in 2016.

Elneny’s father dismissed transfer rumours

Mohamed Elneny, the father of Arsenal’s midfielder, has stated that the Egyptian will not be leaving Arsenal in January.

Elneny’s contract expires at the end of the season. Given his status as a fringe player at Emirates Stadium, it is uncertain if he will receive new terms.
