Wendy is an accomplished political analyst and Johns Hopkins University professor. She also has the distinction of being a mom.
The RHOP star shares three children, 2-year-old Kamryn Kapri, 6-year-old Kruz, and 8-year-old Karter with her equally accomplished husband, Eddie Osefo.
They often appear on the show with memorable scenes of Eddie and Wendy talking to their sons regarding police brutality. Wendy and Eddie felt it was vital to have an open conversation with their sons in light of the many racial injustices plaguing Black communities.

“Unfortunately, Eddie and I had to have that hard conversation with our 8-year-old and our 6-year-old and let them know that A, not all cops are bad, but also let them know that unfortunately, because of the color of their skin, there are some judgments and prejudice that comes with it,” Wendy said during the RHOP After Show on Bravo. “And it is grossly unfair because while I am a Black mother, and I have to shatter my sons’ innocence, my white friends don’t have to do the same.”

Per People, Wendy had to miss her guest debut on The Real due to a health emergency with her daughter, Kamryn. Wendy was due to join cast member Ashley Darby as well as the ladies on the talk show on Oct. 28, 2021. But family life intervened.

In an Instagram post, Wendy shared a slideshow including one photo with The Real schedule for the week of Oct. 25, 2021, and another with the star clutching Kamryn inside a hospital room.
The caption reads, “One minute I’m headed to LA to be a guest on @therealdaytime, and the next minute I have to rush my daughter to the emergency room. You can make lemonade from lemons in life, no matter how bitter they are. We are grateful that my @kamrynkapri is doing well. But, it was a difficult week in the ICU.”

Wendy continued, “Good luck to my RHOP sisters and @ashleyboalchdarby for holding it down in my absence. We are grateful to the Pediatric ICU’s amazing doctors and nurses for making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. #MommyMode #CountYourBlessings#NursesRock”

In the photo, Kamyrn is wearing a cast on her arm, but Wendy didn’t specify the reason for the emergency room visit.
Thankfully Kamryn is back to her adorable and upbeat self. Wendy posted an update on Oct. 31, 2021, about Kamryn’s condition with a photo of the tot wearing an adorable Minnie Mouse costume. Kamryn has returned home and the Osefo family is overjoyed. Wendy went on to thank everyone for their kind words and well wishes.
