Recent Zaxby’s announcement gave one of its most popular limited-edition items a permanent place on the menu. Last week, Zaxby’s announced that the fan-favorite Fried Pickles will be available as long as Zaxby’s chicken restaurant chain is open. Although fried pickles were made last year, they were not available for long.
Fried pickles are crinkle-cut pickle slices made from dill pickles. They are coated in cornmeal batter, then fried to golden brown. Every order includes a side of ranch sauce to dip. “Fried Pickles are a Southern staple that’s having a bit of a moment,”Stephanie Gamble is vice president of Zaxby’s menu innovation. Zaxby’s has made other menu changes in recent months. The company launched its Signature Sandwich in April. The Signature Club sandwich features the same ingredients as the Signature Sandwich, but with two slices of American cheese and bacon. Zaxby’s introduced the Fruity Fizzy Punch beverage, which combines Minute Maid Fruit Punch and Sprite with a hint of lime.
