Ed Sheeran has COVID-19 and makes a major shift to his upcoming plans

Ed Sheeran tested positive for COVID-19. TMZIt was noted. The announcement was shared via Instagram by the singer on Sunday. Due to his diagnosis, he has made changes regarding his commitments. 

Sheeran began his message with a statement that he was positive for COVID-19. “self-isolating and following government guidelines.”He explained that his diagnosis means he won’t be able to. “plough ahead with any in person commitments for now.”Sheeran will continue to perform and participate in interviews. They will be performed or conducted from Sheeran’s home at the moment. The singer concluded his message by writing. “Apologies to anyone I’ve let down. Be safe everyone.”

TMZ reported that Sheeran has quite a number of commitments as his new album = is due to be released on Oct. 29. A commitment was made by Sheeran only recently. Saturday Night Live. Former cast member Jason Sudeikis hosted Saturday’s episode. Sheeran was announced as the musical guest by NBC for the Nov. 6, episode. It’s less than two weeks until the episode. However, it’s not clear if Sheeran will still be able participate. 

Sheeran was also to serve as a musical mentor during this week’s episodes The Voice. The segment was apparently filmed in advance. It’s not clear if he will make an appearance in person on the show. It was unclear if he would be available in person. The VoiceThis unlikely means that the appearance will not proceed as originally planned. Sheeran mentioned that he would try to fulfill any of his obligations virtually. He could also appear on The VoiceZoom.

Sheeran stated that he would be releasing the new album. =Back in August. He announced at the time that it would be released Oct. 29. According to Billboard?, “Shape of You”The album was praised by the singer. “a really personal record and one that means a lot to me.”He continued, “My life changed greatly over the past few years - I got married, became a father, experienced loss, and I reflect on these topics over the course of the album. I see it as my coming-of-age record, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.”
